The Funds will be donated to 3 different branches under the Community & Youth development support. We decided on sponsoring the students on the Brainerd Fishing team, Brainerd Jaycees, and Squid School.

A High School and Middle School Fishing team in Brainerd, MN. Serving students in 5th – 12th grade in the Brainerd Public School District (ISD 181).
They give students the opportunity to catch some Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch and more! They participate in tournaments, fundraisers, seminars and practices that are fun for the students, instructors and boat captains! They also give back to their local community and sponsors by volunteering in local events.

The Brainerd Jaycees are a membership-based nonprofit organization who empower and develop young leaders between the ages of 18 to 40 in the Brainerd Lakes Area. They are affiliated with the JCI Minnesota, United States Junior Chamber and Junior Chamber International. The Jaycees movement can be found in over 5,000 communities and more than 100 countries around the world.
In addition to the monthly socials and meetings they put together, or help with, a variety of community events throughout the year.
The events range in size from a few people helping park cars for other non-profits to the Ice Fishing Extravaganza. -
Squid School MN is a mobile swim school based in central Minnesota that focuses on drown prevention, self-rescue skills, and water safety education for children and families. The organization provides swim lessons for all ages and abilities, including infant lessons, adaptive swim instruction, family lessons, and water safety education. Their mission centers on teaching life-saving skills through research-based instruction designed to help prevent drowning and build confidence in and around the water.
What makes Squid School MN unique is its emphasis on real-world safety and accessibility. Their instructors are Red Cross certified and trained to work with students of varying abilities, including neurodivergent and medically complex children. The organization also incorporates survival-based techniques such as swimming in clothing, cold-water awareness, and self-rescue training to prepare students for unexpected situations. Through continued education, outreach, and specialized instruction, Squid School aims to reduce drowning risks and create safer experiences for children and families throughout Minnesota communities.
